Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing a wide range of Italian dishes, including appetizers, pastas, pizzas, and desserts.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, adhering to the restaurant's recipes and guidelines.
- Assist in the proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation, ensuring consistency and compliance with the restaurant’s standards.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to improve culinary skills and knowledge of Italian cuisine.
- Assist in inventory checks, informing the Head Chef of low stock or potential shortages.
- Help in the final presentation and plating of dishes before they are served to guests.
